The Garden House is a single storey house with a sheltered patio overlooking the garden with views of the fields, hills and forestry.
A quiet secluded spot to relax or use as a base to explore many places of interest such as castles and gardens, mountain bike trails, fishing opportunities on river and loch, and walks for all abilities.
The house sleeps up to six people in one double, one twin and a sofa bed. The kitchen is fully equipped with cooker, fridge, microwave and washing machine.
There is a shower room with W.C. and a second bathroom with bath and wash basin. Bed linen, towels and electricity for cooking and heating are included.
Dogs and children welcome! Freesat TV and free WiFi throughout the building.
Strathdon is situated an hours drive from Aberdeen in the east of the Cairngorms National Park. Staying in The Garden House gives the opportunity to connect to the Snow Road and the NE250 routes about 10 miles away.
The Castle Trail, The Whisky Trail and the Moray Coastal Trail are all nearby too. Highland Games are held throughout the summer and the Lonach Games in Strathdon is one of the oldest.
The Garden House
Originally built in 1989 as a conservatory tea room and shop for the specialist plant nursery and Herb Garden at Old Semeil, this building has now been tastefully furnished to provide self-catering accommodation.
